In prehistoric times--or "pre-Flood' as creationists say--organisms were generally larger. This was a result of a denser, milder atmosphere. Evolutionist scientists can't really explain how the earth arrived at this high-pressure atmosphere, but creationists theorize a water vapor canopy (referenced in Genesis 1:7). Higher pressure allows for thicker body structures and longer life. Judging by the ages in giant tortoises today, large dinosaurs may have lived hundreds of years. The same goes for humans.
Cain married his sister, just as Abraham married his half-sister. At that point complications associated with incest had not yet accumulated. There were also less diseases, allowing for longer lives.
When you say it in such a matter of fact, Mr. Science way like this, it's really funny. Can you imagine a Nova episode dedicated to a serious presentation of creationism with a Loren Green voice over? That would really be funny.
