Let me be the first gust of this shitstorm...
Sure there is, if we stretch the definition of "his time" just a tad. After all, the Testimonium Flavianum provides an excellent testimony of an orthodox Jew proclaiming Jesus was the Messiah, and what's not to believe about that. And this was written only three hundred years after Jesus when Eseubius wrote the whole thing.
Josephus was dictating from beyond the grave, obviously. It was a method of getting out of Hell. He had such a great lawyer.
Are you kidding? We have all kinds of bones and artifacts that the Catheylick Church made a fortune selling or putting on display. I hear tell they have at least three foreskins from the circumsized Jesus. Seriously...
The Gospels ARE historical documents.
Why is the movie from "Galaxy Quest" playing in the background?
Where the Bible conflicts with reality, I believe the Bible. THAT is the power of faith!
Praise the sweet name of Jay-sus!

Quote:THERE is evidence (the bible) of a religious fairy tale that includes the christ. Since large portions of the bible have already been determined to be of dubious origin - lacking reality - or actually contradicting known facts - it is only of use to establish the christ as the Iliad can establish that Hercules lived.
