When doctors recommend against smoking because of the potential risks they arent committing an ad baculum fallacy.
An argumentum ad baculum would look like this....
Theist - I think the God conclusion is justified because...
Atheist - [screaming] You low life theist POS #@!!! I hate you and wish you would die you *&#@!!!!
Theist - But I just wanted to try and discuss with you...

Heres another example of an ad baculum.
Me - Gay marriage should not be legalized because....
He - Gay marriage should be legalized because gay people are almost 3 times as likely to have had suicidal thoughts, 5 times as likely to have had suicidal plans and 4 times as likely to have attempted suicide.
Me - IOW you're saying its our fault and if we dont allow gay marriage they will keep harming themselves until we do.
