No, they didn't choose to be born into their religion or culture, but they do choose to remain in their religion or culture. That would be called "through fault of their own" nothing negative implied by this, of course. If a person wishes to be a religious conservative in a secular liberal society they are free to do so. Plenty of these people about Vinny.
You're actually attempting to make the case that secularism is unfair because it doesn't give special treatment? You have got to be fucking kidding me....
What kind of special attention should be given, btw, the kind of special attention we see so often from conservative religious societies? Oh, whats the word..ah yes, persecution.
