Actually, the diagram is misleading. It doesn't necessarily take 100% caring in order to be able to care less; any value greater than 0% would qualify.

Well, yes, but I was trying to make a point. Saying "I could care less" means that you do care... whether you care 1% or 100%, the point is... you care. It is the opposite of what you're trying to say.

This is an American meme... and it irritates the bejesus out of me.
