kindle fire hd versus nexus 7

Right now the only thing stopping me from buying the Nexus is the HDMI port on the Kindle. I'd like the the option of hooking to the TV. BUT, since there's not much I can do there that I can't already do with the DVD player I'm leaning Nexus. Just soliciting inputs....
That's 1 for the Nexus.
