All of the counter-evidence that you're willing to look for can be summed up as, "big business, i.e. Big Tobacco, Big Pharm, will lose revenue."
I'm speculating here, but if it wasn't for these business being greatly harmed by the legalization of marijauana, there would be no roadblocks to getting marijuana legalized.
