Everyone near my age is a Mennonite or has left this desolate place. I talk to sixteen year olds and forty year olds. It's rather dull. Thank God for the weekends where I can escape.
I grew up in a trailer park seated between the three main areas of a maximum security prison. I had to drive 20 minutes to get to the nearest gas station. There was a grocery store about a half hour away, but it's a Publix and we're Winn Dixie people, so our grocery store is 45 minutes away. Post office...? About 25 minutes away, restaurants start about the same time once you'd get into town. It was strange growing up there, but now I live in the middle of town where my longest drive (for when I'm not driving out of town) is about 15 minutes. So nice.
