There will always be two cultures in america, not sure if it's the same in all countries but I imagine so. What you see on t.v. or hear about in the news is only the half you are allowed to see. The counter culture is always supressed.

The fact that your country has something caled "lobbying" isn`t encouraging. And actualy makes me believe that your country`s economy will stay in that state it is for years. As well as it will make the state of your economy and labor-rights to worsen.
Let`S just go through what you call "lobbying" from a basic deffinition.
A representative of a company, pays a representative of the state - a member of your parlament, money to propose a law in your parlament. The representative of the company, then pays other members of your parlament money to vote for that law in parlament.

I dont eaven think that there is someh, kind of cultural misunderstanding here. This to me sounds like a outright definition of coruption, and I cant understand how a sociaty finds the vocabulary and ways to legitemise that practice.
You`d be lucky if you dont spend the next 15 years of your life in jail, if you something like that here.

I would say you are right, but america is a sleeping giant. People are realizing that some members of congress(allot) have been in congress and passed bad laws for over decades. I bet you don't even realize how bad it is here, there are reports in the news here that state police officers are killing citizens for no reasons. We realize our government is corrupt but for the time being they hold all the power, and the mindless masses that believe in them are just mindless masses. The harsher you treat your people, the more aggressive they become. There will be a breaking point and in the wake of economic collapse it will be soon.

When the money runs out, the government will put it's boot down. Then we shall see if america can hold true to its creed Home of the Brave, Land of the Free.
Live every day as if already dead, that way you're not disappointed when you are. Big Grin
