People are welcome to put images in signatures, but a signature shouldn't be very high, otherwise it risks becoming longer than the post (and in some cases, it is).

Just a thought, limit total combined image height. People are less inclined to abuse straight text.
A stray thought. Some people feel they should limit the amount of the presentation layer devoted to the persona on fora, so that they can have the discussions that matter. Other people feel that this segment of the presentation layer should have great flexibility and freedom. Also to enable them to have the discussions they want. One is oriented towards discussion, the other is oriented toward being social. FWIW.
