In-friggin'-credible. Don't these idiots know when to quit? They've already made one attempt on the girl's life which may yet prove successful. Now their spokesman makes a public statement not only explaining why they did it, but that she and her father are still targets. If it was me intending to assassinate someone, I'd be tempted to keep it low key, myself. Maybe send the odd threatening note or something. The last thing I'd do would be to announce it to the world's press. These idiots make the average Bond villain seem like master strategists by comparison.
