I see disrespect in their failure to understand that their religious views are just beliefs, and everyone is entitled to their own. To proselytize sends the message that they have superior beliefs, and everyone else should give theirs a shot, even if you already have.
It's a bit like sprinkling pamphlets that say, "Your music is shit; stop listening to it. You should listen to jazz! It will make you happy, and you will enjoy it!" Well, I've heard jazz and have come to the conclusion that I don't like it, so please, stop telling me I should get some jazz in my life.
