No - a friend of mine dropped me off at Linville in the summer so I could collect plant samples and take some pictures of the rhododendron blooms
but he went on to Little Switzerland and then picked me up later. I'm sure I'll hit it up sometime in the near future, as my boyfriend has a sportscar and very much enjoys driving.
The rest of the day with the fall pictures was spent indulging his need to drive with the top down through the Blue Ridge Parkway, which resembles nothing so much now as the road to Rivendell.
