Obviously someone who knows nothing about tea.
Wikipedia Wrote:Earl Grey tea, sometimes spelled Earl Gray, is a tea blend with a distinctive flavour and aroma derived from the addition of oil extracted from the rind of the bergamot orange, a fragrant citrus fruit.
Traditionally, the term "Earl Grey" has applied only to black teas that contain oil of bergamot as a flavouring.
I'd have to research the matter, but my recollection is that the bulk of commercially marketed Earl Grey is made using Ceylon tea, which is some of the finest in the world.
But then I rather doubt the comment was spurred by anything having to do with Earl Grey tea itself.
