It severely affects your energy levels. You are at increased risk of cancer (just like smokers are at increased risk of cancer), of diabetes and cardiovascular disease. To claim there are no effects whatsoever is a plain stupid, ignorant "redneck" type thinking. Try this.
Doing something that you know in advance is bad for your health, and then waiting around to see what the health consequences will be is the stupidest thing I've ever heard of! "Uhh nothing's happened yet so it's all good". Why risk it? Why would any parent deliberately put themselves at a greater risk of 1. not being their for their children and 2. becoming a burden on their children?
Sorry but this attitude of "I don't care" is total bullshit. Obesity is an epidemic, why be a part of it?
According to the WHO I'm obese at 92kgs and about 165cm.
Yet as Kichi said I'm in perfect health. I eat well with a minimum of junk, I don't smoke, I'm not a heavy drinker and I do a physically heavy job.
But according to you I'm unhealthly.
I put it to you sir that you are engaging in generalisations and don't know what you are talking about.

If you're not supposed to ride faster than your guardian angel can fly then mine had better get a bloody SR-71.
