Humn, never thought of that, but should work, they are thrown off by God pretending to be nice ignoring what a shit hole he made.

Humans, "God why do bad things happen?"

God, "Look, I have a kitten, pay no attention to those dying children in Africa because of famine, even though I could save them".

Humans, "Pretty kitty".

God, "Here is some twine and more shiny objects you can look at".

Now, to believers who might read this, let me add, this is not about any real god of any name existing. It is an indictment of humans and our evolution that produces such gap filling, and an indictment of the concept of a "all powerful" god.

You can think of it like a character review, like in a book or movie.
