I would suggest, rather... that it is 'reckless abandon with no concern for the consequences of one's actions', which is a much more specific condition. But perhaps I'm inaccurate still: would you deign to express (clearly) what it is that you are currently feeling?

Medicated drugs fuck people up (not necessarily in bad ways). Ashton just last night got on an anti-depressant, and today she's supremely hyper and bouncy.
I do not think that mania is equatable with taking say... a psychedelic. For all of one's greatly overvalued understanding of self while manic... the world simply isn't melting before them. It's a wholly different experience than say... acid, PCP, LSD.
And I wouldn't consider mania so much of a 'high' as it is a euphoria.
