Quote:More believe Islam is wrong.
Yep, I hate using such critical arguments since they might backfire.
Quote:
This is easily explained through science. No god required.
I think they covered this some when in primary school.
I would like to know how you understand a statement like "explained through science".
They didn't explain where the phenomena comes from, but how it takes place.
Do you know the concept of recursion ? In Computer Science, it's a function calling a function for infinity, unless you put a brick point called "the base case", to stop the function call at a certain time.
In any science in the world, you go into a recursive rode, until you reach the base case. In any physical object you would reach the atom, that's your base case.
I want you to explain to me where the base case comes from in your opinion : ) You can also find a lot of other base cases inside the atom itself. I'm not asking about what an atom is.
Am asking where this atom came from.
Please tell me you started to see the point.
Quote:Just because somebody is right about one thing it doesn't mean they are right about everything, no matter how smart they are.
Hmm, another critical argument, but I would not comment by the famous (the same goes for...)
Quote:Too easy?
Perhaps for you. I doubt the people starving to death, dying of disease or born with severe disabilities would agree.
Without war, with money given to poor on daily bases, if pollution stopped, most of that would just vanish.
People are throwing food in the garbage in a country like saudi arabia.
This is rise by the way. I think that if every saudi family gave half of that to the poor on fixed bases, the hunger crisis in africa would vanish.
Don't throw human apathy over god.
Let's end it by the military budget of the U.S . If they invested in helping the hungry instead of developing a war machine, we would've ended the hunger in the world too.
Quote:So your saying there are multiple gods now?
Quote:Your making less and less sense.
My point again :
To search for the right religion, you would start by examining the god of that religion.
In christianity, god is almost a human. He even has a child. Thus ; a god who acts like humans & have children is not even divine (argument about how christianity look at god,, THIS IS AN OPPOSING ARGUMENT )
In other religions like Hinduism, the concept of many gods (again, another opposing argument) means that those gods are week, if only one of them was divine enough, the others would've worshipped him.
I'm writing opposing POV on other religions : )
Quote:You know cos the best way to say you like humans is with threat of torture.
The concept of torture (again) is different from god's perspective.
My whole topic was about that perspective
Quote:So you just have to be gullible
Or humble.
Quote:You would think that..
totally
Quote:A teacher would not torture the student for failing and would take action in order to prevent the student failing.
That's why a prophet was sent.
and again, when a student fails, the teacher would not torture him, but would rather leave him to his fate.
Quote:Well I didn't elect god. I didn't agree to the rules. And I am to be tortured for breaking them. Not at all like a dictator.
Being divine, all god's rules are divine also, they are the right thing to do. Contradicting them, means you're either doing the wrong thing, or prone to do the wrong thing.
