You do grow out of that. Beyond which, is there really that big a similarity between childhood and slavery? Assuming you don't live in a Dickens novel, I mean.
Not everyone does, and yes: there are a number of similarities, depending on where you live. You can't consent to anything, your parents authoritatively declare everything you're allowed to do, and in some places: you're literally their property.
I'd say it's slavery... with some human rights interventions You know... pets are slaves too, but people don't like seeing slaves beaten within a bloody inch of their life (really, it's quite distasteful).
Really, being a kid kinda sucks in a lot of ways... and it's entirely on the parents as to whether they'll be treated well or miserably... thank goodness for public education being mandatory
Quote:Ooh, almost. Yes, rape willing genetics would be passed on, but rape is traditionally something done unto, it's not a solo activity; the genes for not liking being raped will also be passed on, so it's kind of a wash. We'd have people who like to rape, but hate being raped, and they'd have to put strictures in place to protect themselves from that, surely.
And if the genes for disliking rape aren't passed on, we're left with... consensual, rough sex? Sounds like a party to me. (Within reason!)
That's assuming they could overpower an equal number of rapists. Infact, it could be a very divisive species war
Now there's your party Ehh, if someone can recover any enjoyment during rape: I say good on them

How romantic! Roasted human baby! MY FAVORITE!

Unless 'meds' constitutes something like hormones, and 'therapy' constitutes something for your leg after you break it:
Avoid both. Like the goddamn plague.
