Yeah, probably. Except the second part is only true if god exists, and the first is untrue regardless. How is spending your whole life seeking a god you can never find rewarding? I think it would be depressing...

Drich, are you claiming the Bible is incorrect??? You gotta pick a stance here, all correct or not...

Your begging the question rephrase.

If you answered yes to any of these questions, then how can you say nothing was revealed? Even the most devout atheist see the bible as a list of sins. How can you read a bible and not see something your doing that would be identified as sin?
Quote:Oh, I tried to lead a righteous life. When I sinned, I prayed for forgiveness and did my best to learn from and not repeat my mistakes. I prayed for guidance to live righteously, at least daily. The understanding of sin is a revelation. So God did reveal something to you. Of your sins did one stand out? One you kept returning to? (I'm not asking for specifics just a yes or no will do)

If no, then how can you say you a/s/k like Luke 11 outlines?
Making an honest run (our way) at trying to reach out to God is not what He asked us to do. We truly only have one honest way of establishing and maintaining a relationship, and that is through the guidance of the Holy Spirit. We have only been given one avenue to obtain a measure of the Holy Spirit, that is to a/s/k as out lined in Luke 11. If we do not seek out the Holy Spirit as instructed, then we are on our own to establish and maintain our own relationship with God. As All of you can attest this task is next to impossible even when done in groups.
