Biblical prophecies - Are they any?
#10
RE: Biblical prophecies - Are they any?
Quote:1. - False Bible teachers would bring in heresies, have many followers, and cause others to reject God's Word (2 Peter 2:1-2). It is very common today to find people who reject the Bible out of hand because they have heard it misrepresented by a false teacher.

Quote:2. - These false prophets would be money hungry, smooth talkers (2 Peter 2:3). A growing number of TV evangelists epitomize this. They twist the Scriptures, using misleading words, to make merchandise of the unwary.

Almoust every single christian church claims to be the closest to original christianity.
The question is all but nonsence. In my opinion faith or non faith is a personal matter and people who claim that they have the right to tell people how religion should be correctly interpreted are backwards. 300 years of wars were fought in Europe over that completly useless and silly question of which form of christianity is right.
What christian has the right to claim to be a real christian? I could be rought and simply say: the one who lives up closest by holding up every single word in it as much as possible. By doing things like executing gays and treating women like cattle.

I guess westboro baptist church would come closest to that, or the church of Uganda.

Quote:3. - The Christian gospel would be preached as a witness to all nations (Matthew 24:14; Mark 13:10; Revelation 14:6). Today, portions or all of the Bible have been translated into over 2,400 languages and dialects covering over 90% of the world's population.

Sooo? what to say about this fact? Does it mean something special?! Great numbers are not a sign of greatness.
Is national socialism true because Hitler managed to conquer Europe faster than anyone else?

Quote:4. - Global communications foreseen (Revelation 11:9-10; 17:8). The Bible prophesies that the entire world will see certain events unfold. The invention of the television and the deployment of global satellite networks during the 20th century allow news to travel the world at the speed of light for the first time ever. Remember that in the apostle John's day, news traveled at the speed of horseback.

I dont have a bible, but I can almoust certainly say that this claim is a strech.
Phrophecies bla bla bla, How many times did these people predict the end of the world. Historic events and stuff can always be interpreted in the most weirdest ways.

actualy, all I read is prohecies and weirdo ways of interpreting christianity into everything.

You know, Hitler was a great admirer of the german king Fredrick the Great, Fredrick was almoust crushed in a war with Russia, then the Russian czar died and his successor Peter the great didnt want war with Prussia but with Sweden.

When Hitler sat in his bunker at the end of the war and heared of the american presidents death, he thought this was from devine hand and a sign that the allies would end the war against him.

historic interpertations are only done by the completly desperate who dont have any arguments.
