What a strange notion. You look at the complexity of the brain and all you see are the number of neuronal connections. Recreate that and you actually think you have a chance of recreating a functional brain? Minus all the hormones and organic muck, there is no telling what you have tossed out but the results of your experiment point more to this lack than to the independent existence of 'spirit'.
