A good way to learn to read piano music?

I'd suggest using a pencil and simply writing the note on the music (write a small "E" or whatever it is under/over/next to the note). I find that when I read music, I don't relate the notes to their "names," I relate it to their location on the keyboard. I have to really pause and count to tell what the actual note is.
