Cool things that make me happy:
Slight bit of background: I've been drawing since I could hold a pencil in my hands (around 3 or 4 years old) but we were poor and my mother had no appreciation at all for my art. She'd call it junk, a waste of paper, etc. My older sister, thankfully, gave me enough encouragement that I never gave it up.
To this day, it's a real effort to pass by an art supply store without buying pens and pencils and paper and rulers and anything else related to drawing. I've got stacks of paper, dozens of sketch pads, stacks of comic pages, dozens of pencils and pens and markers and rulers and templates and so on.
These are the cool things that make me happy; having the tools to do the kind of work that never feels like work:

"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."
