Evidence is required just not that which logically can't apply. This is a hurdle you seem to have never crossed, incredulously.
You were a Christian Sae?
Well, I sure was raised to be one, and was in a completely Christian environment for most of my life.
But I'm not sure if I was ever really a Christian. Sure, I 'learned' everything the others learned... I was in the same environment... and I read out of the same Bible and bible-studies/stories as the others...
But wether I ever really believed? I do not remember...

As for the faith issue... to believe ANYTHING is to have faith. But scientific fact requires but a blink of faith to adhere to... while religion requires a 9th dimensional leap through a wormhole of faith to accept as true.
Please give me a home where cloud buffalo roam
Where the dear and the strangers can play
Where sometimes is heard a discouraging word
But the skies are not stormy all day
