Non-religious evidence for existence of God
RE: Non-religious evidence for existence of God
(March 29, 2013 at 11:10 am)ciko83 Wrote: that is distortion how it really was. why dont you read about muhammed.

how can you say he was blood-thirsty middle-eastern warlord

Bloodthirsty:

Qur'an (5:33) - "The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His messenger and strive to make mischief in the land is only this, that they should be murdered or crucified or their hands and their feet should be cut off on opposite sides..."

Qur'an (8:12) - "Remember thy Lord inspired the angels (with the message): "I am with you: give firmness to the Believers: I will instill terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers: smite ye above their necks and smite all their fingertips off them."

And his history:

570 - Born in Mecca
576 - Orphaned upon death of mother
595 - Marries Khadija - older, wealthy widow
610 - Reports first revelations from angel at age of 40
619 - Protector uncle dies

623 - Orders raids on Meccan caravans (Warlord)
624 - Battle of Badr (victory) (Warlord)
624 - Evicts Qaynuqa Jews from Medina (Warlord)

630 - Conquers Mecca by surprise (along with other tribes) (Warlord)
631 - Leads second raid into Christian territory at Tabuk (no battle, they gave up) (Warlord)

Quote:why dont you read about Muhammed from real islamic sources instead of anti-islamic sites with tells lies.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Khaybar

"The Islamic Prophet Muhammad besieged the Banu Qurayza for 25 days until they surrendered.[1] One of Muhammad's companions decided that "the men should be killed, the property divided, and the women and children taken as captives". Muhammad approved of the ruling, calling it similar to God's judgement,[7][8][9][10][11] after which all male members of the tribe who had reached puberty were beheaded.[2][12] According to Daniel C. Peterson and Martin Lings, this judgment was in accordance with the law of Moses as stated in Deuteronomy 20:10-14.[13][14] The Muslim jurist Tabari quotes 600-900 being executed.[1][3] The Sunni hadith do not give the number killed, but state that all males were killed and 1 woman (the 1 woman is according to Sunan Abu Dawud).[15] The rest of the woman and children were sold in exchange for weapons and horses, according to Islamic sources.[1]
According to Ibn Kathir, Quranic verses 33:26-27 and 33:9-10 are about the attack against the Banu Qurayza.[2][16][17]"

Sounds like your typical bloodthirsty, middle-eastern warlord to me. Quite Biblical in scope even. Mo man does it all -- kills indiscriminately, takes booty, and takes slaves.

Well, even Hitler had his good days.

Quote:never did Muhammed had sex with Young Girls, show me from hadith that he had sex with Young aisha at 9 years of age.

Sure he did.

"'A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported: Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) married me when I was six years old, and I was admitted to his house at the age of nine. She further said: We went to Medina and I had an attack of fever for a month, and my hair had come down to the earlobes. Umm Ruman (my mother) came to me and I was at that time on a swing along with my playmates. She called me loudly and I went to her and I did not know what she had wanted of me. She took hold of my hand and took me to the door, and I was saying: Ha, ha (as if I was gasping), until the agitation of my heart was over. She took me to a house, where had gathered the women of the Ansar. They all blessed me and wished me good luck and said: May you have share in good. She (my mother) entrusted me to them. They washed my head and embellished me and nothing frightened me. Allah's Messenger (, may peace be upon him) came there in the morning, and I was entrusted to him."

Maybe he just played with her dolls?

And here, Mo man wonders why this man would take an older wife instead of a young girl:

"Book 008, Number 3460:
Jabir b. 'Abdullah (Allah be pleased with them) reported: 'Abdullah died and he left (behind him) nine or seven daughters. I married a woman who had been previously married. Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said to me: Jabir, have you married? I said: Yes. He (again) said: A virgin or one previously married? I said: Messenger of Allah, with one who was previously married, whereupon he said: Why didn't you marry a young girl so that you could sport with her and she could sport with you, or you could amuse with her and she could amuse with you? I said to him: 'Abdullah died (he fell as martyr in Uhud) and left nine or seven daughters behind him; I, therefore, did not approve of the idea that I should bring a (girl) like them, but I preferred to bring a woman who should look after them and teach them good manners, whereupon he (Allah's Messenger) said: May Allah bless you, or he supplicated (for the) good (to be) conferred on me (by Allah)."

Quote:and rode on a magic horse.

Quote:no muslims believes this, so why do you put lies about our religion.

Muhammed just said that the creature he rode was smaller than horse but bigger than mule. so where do you find that he rode magic horse???

You got me there. It's al-Buraq! The magic, flying, NOT a horse thingy! So Muslims DO believe in magic, flying not-a-horse thingys then? That would NOT be a lie, correct? Hopefully, I stand corrected, sir.

So, other than deceitfully LYING about Mo riding astride a flying horse, when CLEARLY, he was riding a mythological Buraq, my initial post stands: bloodthirsty, warlord, boinking a 9 year old, riding on a magic horse-like thingy. Now, do you want to dispute he was from the Middle-east?
