It happens in other nations but to the extent and popularity that we see here in the States? No, I don't think so. People like Glenn Beck are known not just in the US but outside it as well. Other national figures of nutjobbery aren't often known to other nations. I speak in no absolutes, of course; some nations have their share of crazies that lots of other nations snicker at.

Also, belated but I didn't realize you lived in Boston til just a few minutes ago: Good to hear you're safe. Given how many explosives they found, that was factoring the odds in a way I can't say anyone on this forum would be comfortable with...
