Baptist = theist. I've heard it from Catholic and orthodox Judaism as well. Certain aspects =/= all. I didn't say all theists. I said certain aspects of theism, where I had seen far more of it than I had from atheist sources, mostly because it's by far and wide the realm of theism to concern themselves with the hereafter. I was pretty careful to make that distinction. I also mentioned some theists thinking the world was great because "God made it." I've run into that too.
I place a lot of value on the Earth, so yes portions of their belief piss me off - much like I'm sure a belief where, oh, say, women can be stoned for having an affair might piss you off. I'm sure you understand I don't force them to do anything but live the way they feel like living. That doesn't mean I won't mock or belittle the belief, finding it repugnant.
