Why would God give people commandments, admonish them to obey them, and threaten them with punishment for disobedience IF He did not also give people the ability to chose and follow those commandments. Everyone is predestined for heaven, i.e. you have been created to recieve God (the 'pre' part) so that you can reach your destination (destiny). Fate is inevitable, but destiny must be chosen.
