Excuse me. I missed a point. The problem was the US disbanded the Iraqi army. That eliminated the only group which could have kept the peace. That put a few hundred thousand trained military on the street with no source of income and with families to feed. That is what went wrong.

So was not just the crazy UN but also everyone around Iraq.
The W Bush second Gulf war was his own piece of shit. The only material thing it accomplished was helping Iran which I predicted.
Correct the reason we went in to Iraq are shitty. I will not argue with that! But, he was a puppet for that war. The main perpetrators for the war was Dick Cheney and Paul Wolfowitz. They were both part of the first Gulf war, and they wanted to depose Saddam initially. Again, they did not listen to their top Military Adviser: General Shenseki. He told congress, we need a larger force, and it would not be advisable to invade Iraq.
Puppet? The buck stops there. Hitler learned that. Plus W knew exactly what he was doing. I carefully listened to what he said. If he were hauled into court for his war crimes he could truth fully say he never accused Iraq of having any WMDs or any other justification for the war.
What I listened to were what we came to call bushisms. Every time he might have said something justifying the war he screwed up the grammar so he did not actually say it. In prepared speeches and press conferences with otherwise perfect grammar these were the only statements where the grammar was wrong and he could swear truthfully he never said such things.
Let me modify that a bit. I think I remember one time he screwed up his own ungrammatical statements and did get the grammar right. A mistake of getting it right and carefully planned non-statements.
This was not knew. The infamous Colin Powell in his UN speech did almost the same thing except he kept his grammar correct. He talked about anthrax. He talked about Hussein. He never said Hussein had anthrax. Same with poison gas and nuclear weapons. He never really said Iraq had any of them. Yet instantly the US coverage said that he had.
And people wonder why the Nazi Germany press went along with it. The US media did not need a Goebbels to do exactly the same thing. Seeing how the US media did the same thing on its own I can make a strong case Goebbels got a bum rap.

There are many ways rednecks are izziehuggers. I do not consider going to port a necessary and sufficient sign that you are a redneck.
Redneck? Your adjective of choice. Am too bold to ask for evidence?

The use of the term redneck in the US is often used to refer to the born again bible thumpers. We have some 50+ million of them. They are the primary political support for Israel for whom I invented the term izziehugger. Therefore I at times refer to the supporters of Israel as rednecks.

And for me I say the best thing to do is let them kill themselves if they want to do so. The only vital American interest in the middle east is the free flow of oil at fair market prices. Beyond that, nada, zip, zilch.

I wished it was that easy, but it is not! They have spread outside the middle east.
There has never been any reluctance on the part of the terrorists to say why they originally spread beyond their own countries, the US support of Israel against the Palestinians, except for bin Laden who added, US troops in Saudi who did leave in 2004. Mission Accomplished for bin Laden.
Only after the US and W started wars in the middle east did the so-called terrorists start adding AND the US killing innocent people in the Middle East.
Anyone who buys into "they hate our freedom" is an idiot.

Yeah yeah, I know I'm a stupid ignorant optimist.
Back to reality then.......
There were two breaks in the peace in Palestine since 800 AD or so. The Europeans doing their crusades and Europeans doing their zionist thing. Notice the common thread?
