Ah the Silvio defence.
You can fix ignorance, you can't fix stupid. Tinkety Tonk and down with the Nazis. His daddy bullied him, taught him that competition regardless of whom you hurt is fine, and "sucks to be you" is ok. Trump like many do not understand the difference between legal and moral. I could give a shit less if he could point to "the law says". America has had many immoral laws in the past that we no longer find acceptable. Unfortunately in the corporate world they have simply learned 40 years to avoid prison simply make it legal. If less regulation worked like they say and "shoulda read the fine print" worked, we would not have ended up with the triple whammy crash Bush left us with that was started by Reagan's age of deregulation. I am sure if we get enough objective law enforcement and enough courts to dig enough, we will eventually get enough dirt on him. Maybe not to put him in prison, but enough to make him step down. He's already bragged about stiffing his university investors whom he only paid back a fraction of what he conned them out of. But when you have fleets of lawyers you can bully people to the point they quit or settle. He acted like a Nixon wanna be running, but even Nixon wasn't a bombastic demagogue and kept his bigotry on tape. Trump is Nixon on meth and makes Nixon look like a jaywalker the way he talks. Will he be held accountable, well that is a different story. |
