It's humor, but not the kind that is meant to provoke significant laughter. It's the kind of humor that's meant to make a mockery of the subject matter.
These stories are ridiculous in the first place. I just used satire to draw attention to that fact.
Obvious is obvious no matter how you slice it.
While you are at it, you may as well move the entire subject of Christianity there as well.
Don't you think?
I mean, come on, magic underwear, talking donkeys, exploding homosexuals, and camping trips inside fish, how is that not an attempt at humor?
How is this subject supposed to be taken seriously?
I'm with Richard Dawkins on this subject: "These people need to be ridiculed. You should ridicule them."
