The US is also looked at very condescendingly in a lot of the world. Many immigrants are going home or to other countries now that jobs are scarce. The only reason they came here was for opportunity.
@MysticKnight, I don't wish to take on your burden. The reason is because I'm too little. You need an advantage to make a change. If you have money, or are a celebrity, or are a lobbyist, you have sway. Things are the way they are for the time being, and we are all powerless to change it. Revolution would be futile and we can't protest like they did in the 60's. We're stuck with what we have: A choice between a turd sandwich and a giant douche. The best we can do is try and make baby steps in the right direction.
