I'm curious about those who say if we can kill animals without their suffering, then it's okay. I'm sure people could be killed as easily and humanely as animals, but we don't see that as an acceptable justification for eating them. In the case of people, we see a life cut short as being robbed of time for it to follow its course "naturally." But don't cows have cow-y lives that meet these same criteria?
