Does Bible Belt love porn as much as the godless do?

I call it hypocrisy when a group preaches no sex outside of marriage and frowns upon masterbation, only to find the region that is most densely populated by this same group has the largest number of porn viewers.

I recall a similar survey in which an examination of credit card records found that counties with the highest levels of church attendance also tend to have the highest rates of porn site subscriptions. And as Justtristo pointed out, Utah with its Mormon majority is the single largest consumer of pornography in the US. But really, do we even need such surveys to tell us that repression results in obsession?

I mean, imagine this as a headline: STUDY REVEALS STARVING PEOPLE OBSESSED WITH FOOD. Um, no shit.
