The thread is about god. So every time you ignore that fact you are deflecting, which is very interesting.
Are you, in your own way, admitting that your position here isn't consistent with the actions of god?
Last chance to answer. One more deflection, and I'll assume the answer is yes.
Quote:I take it from that that you have no objection to my point that science states that a person exists from conception.
You took it wrong. My position is that science doesn't regard human life.
However, if you can reasonably demonstrate that the scientific view is that conception is the beginning of life, I have no problem acknowledging it.
Even if you do, however, it will not help you to refute the point of this thread, which is that the Bible has little to no regard for human life.
That is the subject matter.
Quote:I'm (continuing) answering you directly regarding the thread title, which, as pointed out by others, doesn't mention god. So far I see zero reason to add him to the equation.
I could engage you on your deliberate ignorance, but that would be to change the subject. Do you think your argument is already lost? is that why you want to change the subject?
I'm participating here because you invited me to present my reasoning. I obliged and now you're dodging.
That's not what's happening at all. The OP clearly demonstrated a gross contradiction within the Christian faith regarding the value of human life. It was in big letters, you couldn't miss it.
Instead of addressing that issue, Christians simply went right into their pro life arguments.
Even worse, you have basically proven the stereotype that Christians simply bury their heads in the sand when it comes to the moral implications of their religious doctrine.
So, are you going to address that issue or continue in ignorance?
