The great spiritual leader you mentioned above said so, since you see Him as a great spiritual leader, why do you believe He lied about who He is.
Jesus never lied.
Is you guys (priests, ayatollah, talebans, mullas, new christians, old christians, etc) that screw everything up.
Shiva, Krisna, Buddha, Jesus never talked about hell or any other evil rubbish.
Spiritual minded creature understand very well that God can not hate anyone therefore hell can not exist.
Are sick mind like you that in order to sit in the chairs of power invented all this rubbish.
You consider yourself an intermediary between God and the masses but God never give you that power nor gave you the power to twist the words of saints and turned them into dogmas.
One thing however exist and that is the karma low.
Unfortunately for you one day in this or in the next lifetime all the crap that you procrastinate will be spat back to you and here is the hell, but not an hell in the afterworld.
It will be here on the earth.
I agree god hates no one, however hate has nothing to do with it, judgement of the guilty, sin has to be payed for, either by the individual or accepting Christ as savior. Here are a few passages Where Christ spoke of hell.
Matt. 5:22 .... and whoever shall say, 'You fool,' shall be guilty enough to go into the fiery hell.
Matt. 5:29 "And if your right eye makes you stumble, tear it out, and throw it from you; for it is better for you that one of the parts of your body perish, than your whole body to be thrown into hell.
Matt. 5:30 The same as 29 except it refers to the right hand.
Matt. 23:33 "You serpents, you brood of vipers, how shall you escape the sentence of hell?
Matt. 25:44-46 "Then they themselves also will answer, saying, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not take care of You?'
"Then He will answer them, saying, 'Truly I say to you, to the extent you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.'
"And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."
There are more in Matt., but this should be enough to show you what Christ had to say about hell. You yourself said, Christ does not lie. He did say, "You shall know the truth and the truth will set you free." I know this saying of Christ was first about salvation, however it is applicable to the entire Gospel of Christ.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.
