You got something in common with the atheists.
Both of you have lock yourselves in the corral of dogmas.
Once you enter the corral everything get more and more complicated.
Spirituality is very very simple to understand but because you make your life far too complicated into believing in something that does not make sense then you are prevented to understand the simple things in life.
You as a religious person believe in something that is not truth and an atheist into believing something that is the last transformation of pure mind into matter also find impossible to go back where everything started from.
Anyway now that you know you should become a closer friend with your atheist neighbors.
Their corral is not that far from yours.

You call that a Christian attitude do you.

Actually i do believe in Christ as a highly spiritual being that help a lot of people to progress spiritually speaking.
I do not believe as a savior sent by God however as you do.
If that would be the case then all the humanity should have started with him so nobody would have been left behind.
Just imagine how many people would have been left behind in this planet.
What about other planets where is quite possible for life to exist?
Do you think that Christ cover all those planets?
Can't you see how dogmatic you are?
Didn't Jesus kicked the priests off the temple because of their dogmas?
And didn't the priests tried to kill him?
What do you read? Only what please you or everything?

One day Buddha was crossing a large river with two of his disciples in a boat.
The two disciples and the Buddha were working very hard rowing but they realized that the boat was hardly making any progress so they ask the Buddha why.

Actually the Buddha was referring to the unnecessary things that people carry with them but as a spiritual teaching it clearly refer to the attitude of someone who want to advance spiritually and at the same time does not want to get rid of materialistic desires.
