That's as it should be. This zero-tolerance nonsense where they're suspending kids just for pointing their finger like a gun is ridiculous, especially when that one school made a deaf child sign his name differently because part of it briefly required him to make a sign similar to a finger-gun since his name is Hunter.
When I was in high school in the 80's, one of my classmates brought in a shotgun and showed how to break it down & clean it in speech class where we had to demonstrate how to do something. Of course it was totally unloaded, and nobody panicked and kicked him out of school. How times have changed.
