Atheism doesn't require scoffing at anyone, any more than religion requires persecuting unbelievers, but both are common enough occurrences. This website, though called Atheist Forums, is frequented by a wide variety of believers and non-believers, with varying degrees of civility and social skills. I've no doubt you'll be welcomed.
