This meaning has always been there since Shiva 7000 years ago and has not ever been changed so is not the little Enrico that made any changed to it.
Ahh that's better. Way to take a joke, bounce back and give it back. There might be hope for you yet. (Don't get your hopes up.)
Any how I'm inspired once more to try to give you some useful feedback, though I confess my expectations are low given how you start out already knowing pretty near everything. Still you did show some nice resilience there so here goes.
Did it ever occur to you that the word "union", its definition and the thing itself may not be precisely the same thing? It is all too common for we humans to squeeze their experience through the filter of language and then inject that understanding back out into the world they think they experience. I'm just wondering if calling it "union" may not be unnecessarily constraining your understanding of yoga. I'll stop there so you can decide if this means anything to you at all. (There is always more.)
You can give the meaning that you like to this word.
As far as i am concern the meaning of the word UNION within yoga means to merge into the cosmic consciousness and become one with it.
Like a drop of water that when reach and merge in the ocean become one with it. It become the ocean itself.
Capish!
Is your idea of union the same as mine?
If so then you can say that this is a union of thoughts.
But of course the best union is the union of consciousness.

Consciousness can only be tested within not outside however by looking at the aura you can see the purity within.
As soon as you are able to tell us how you know any results you attain 'within', map to anything within reality and not just your own feelings, get back to us.
I come back to you about this question as soon as you tell me what is the reality and what is not.
You are talking about realty but i doubt you really know what realty is and where it belong.

By physical science?
Again you try to use the wrong tool.
Quote:You're the one claiming it is true, you tell us how it can be demonstrated to be true. What is the 'right' tool?
I already said several times and that is by practicing intuitional science.
Quote:There is absolutely no evidence whatsoever that NDE's are anything more than a dying brain, releasing a chemical soup, in an attempt to cushion the blow of dying.
I've read NDE's. Did you know that NDE's can be reproduced in the lab using science? There is nothing about them that suggests anything other than a purely physical phenomena. Your posts are nothing more than unsupported assertions.
You probably read a denial book or something similar.
The differences between a real NDE experience and a fake one induced in a lab or by drugs is that the first one is a vivid and clear vision that record experiences lived by the consciousness while the latter are blur vision coming from chemical reaction in the brain.
Many people who had a NDE experience even can tell about things that nobody knew before.
An example is about one nurse that drop a child fracturing a leg.
The nurse did not tell anyone for fear of getting in trouble.
When the NDE experiencer came back to life he point out this to the people in the hospital so they could fix the fracture and of course understand why the child was crying so much.hock:

When he came to the doctor leaned over him and said, "You were dead for three minutes. But we brought you back. What did you see?"
He replied, "I didn't see a goddamn thing."
Good enough for me. Looks like there is no pipeline to heaven, just down the drain.
First you should be careful about the food that you put in your mouth or in your brain.
Even in good faith people eat tons of steaming manure.

Actually Castro describe this crap in such a way that it really feel like royal jelly so i never doubt Castro words.
Well if you really feel is royal jelly then go ahead and enjoy.
