I am also very against the autism scare that people perpetuate with vaccines. i've never once heard of antivax liberals, usually it's christian or muslim extremists claiming vaccines are apart of a jewish conspiracy too take over the world and kill their children, that's it. Plus anti-GMO is not anti science it's more like anti-FDA and anti-corporation bananas and cabbage are technically "gmo" but their not sprayed with pesticide resistant chemicals which is the main issue, among others
preferring a weaker alternative like ginger or lemon to cure a sore throat as oppose to cough syrup (which is poisonous and can be lethal) isn't anti-science either, it's a healthier albeit less strong alternative
the FDA or "science" as you so lovingly call it curently states tylenol (a drug that kills 800,000 per year) is a better remedy for pain than marijuana (a drug that has never killed a single person) marijuana is also illegal while prescription opiates ( drugs that commonly lead to heroin addiciton) are not
You do seem to be anti-science because toxicology is a science. Yes, medicine can harm you if you overdose, but so can any chemical. Sugar is toxic at high levels, so is carbon dioxide, and so is arsenic. But does that mean that you can't have any arsenic? Your body can handle small amounts of arsenic, for example from rice in higher levels, and has no ill effects from it. But in high doses it becomes a problem.
Cough syrup quells coughs but if you drink a whole bottle you'd be stupid to think there would be no ill consequences.
And I never mentioned the FDA once so what the hell are you talking about?
Also where did you get that figure for 800,000 deaths a year from tylenol (which is a natural compound btw).
Also, here is an excellent video on why natural remedies are not safer or better than medication.
