*Puts on lab coat.* Canine is not a species. Canidae is a family classification, under which numerous individual species (fox, by the way, is a tribe of the canid group, listed under Vulpini) which itself needs to be classified further down through genus and then into species. That's why you have silver foxes, red foxes, etc.

And in what evolutionary text did you read that evolution must only occur in nature? Artificial selection is still selection.

It's strange, your contention here seems to be "oh sure, that definitively evolutionary process occurred, but it doesn't count because people did it!"

Thankfully, they didn't have to, thus allowing for the propagation of the evolutionary changes that occurred within them. Because evolution doesn't say they had to survive; just that the changes happened. And they did.

Natural selection is not survival of the fittest. The "fittest," whatever that means, are not necessarily the only ones to survive, nor are they even the most likely. Evolution selects against negative traits, not for positive ones. Even neutral traits can persist, depending on the selection pressures.

But then, I bet you don't understand a lot of those words, having never bothered to study this before you declared it all wrong.

Not really. Like I said above, what matters is that the changes happen, not that they make sense to you. Evolution is changes within a species, and those have happened. You saw them. No matter your contentions, at root, you agree that evolution happened.

Everything else is just cognitive dissonance.
