Ok, even outside music, to demonstrate why you are right. On the job, you may often be part of, or over hear an argument about who does what to what degree. When a co-worker bitches at me about how I want them to treat my area and they don't they say "TRY DOING MY JOB"
I say fine, sure, then you can do mine. Stones and ABBA are giants in their own rights.
I don't think anyone wants to fuck with the Rolling Stones, nor should they. But I do get tired of people dissing ABBA.
