six thousand dollars here in this small town in Arizona wouldn't pay for a years rent in a small, wimpy trailer, gas (or buses), food or second hand clothing. With 6 grand you can get a six months rent in a house, not including food, gas, etc. Just the rent. Just six months. People need to eat. Don't forget the cost of living depending where you're at.

Yeah, I live in my girlfriends Van. I only work maybe 3 months a year and rock climb full time the rest of the year. I don't believe in spending 85% of my time to make my 25,000$ to supposedly satisfy basic human living standards which are excessive in almost every other country in the globe. If people learned to live with less they could use their time to actually enjoy their lives. I have one of the most awesome lives imaginable.
