you're nitpicking. that's not being judgmental, that's self-preservation, which errs on the side of caution at all times. when i'm walking home alone on an empty street at night, one man walking behind me is all it takes for me to reach for my phone. i believe the word used for that kind of behaviour is paranoia, not judgmental.
