1865, Germans. 1865. That's when the American Civil War concluded and the US also passed the 13th Amendment legally outlawing slavery in our country.
Did Anti-semitism stop in Germany after 1945?
Yes, we learned our lesson. We don't segregate anymore. You're stuck on false urban legends for what the South is like. That's a myth. Racist fucks are looked down upon by everyone in the South as uneducated, hateful morons.
The first time I saw KKK members I was like 17 years old and a group of them were set up on the side of the road in the middle of Texas. They were from Georgia.
I was in shock. It was like seeing a living dinosaur. I didn't realize the KKK still existed anymore until I saw that. I was like, "Holy fuck, there are still people like that?"
The only reason why you, a German, is the most adamant and outraged individual on this entire forum about slavery in the US is because you are projecting your own guilt, about your unrepentant Nazi grandfather who you are trying to morally distance yourself against.
That's why you are so stuck on what the US racial relations are. Because of your guilt, for your family, for your country's recent past.
Guess what, Germans? You're not a Nazi. That wasn't your fault. No one here thinks what your granddad did is your fault. You don't have to atone for that. You had nothing to do with it.
So quit bending over backward in a frothing rage toward other countries to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt to everyone on this forum that you aren't your granddad. There's no need. We know you aren't.

And you missed out Australia, New Zealand, India, South Africa... and all of the other commonwealth countries which contributed so much, both in manpower and in deaths.
Oh, it's not? Gee willikers. I never realized that the UK was more than England. It's not like I've ever visited Edinburgh, Scotland or Northern Ireland.[/sarcasm]
Australian, New Zealand, Indian, and South African troops were on the ground in Europe during the allied offensive pushing Germany out of France and across the Rhine? Really? Tell me more.
Everything I needed to know about life I learned on Dagobah.
