I can see why bringing in someone like Thomas Aquinas might seem compelling, but in the end the position is right or wrong on its own merits, not who espouses it. If god himself said the sky was hot pink, he'd be wrong; there's no additional category of correctness for smart people to always inhabit.

Anyway, I think that just about fulfills my requirements for a post with substance to it, so I can stop. Hopefully Betty actually responds this time, it'd be nice to have a back and forth.
