Why would a perfect being be jealous? I mean, according to the bible, God is a jealous god. OK, but if there was nothing before he created it, why get jealous of anything? Especially since he's also supposed to be all-knowing and knows everything that's ever happened and everything that ever will, so he creates humans he knows will worship other gods but yet he gets jealous anyway (and therefore wrathful).
No, god was made in man's image. God was made jealous and wrathful as a way to control other people.
