Probably something like 90% of all the major scientific discoveries ever made or hypothesized were made by theists. So there is incompatibility there. Certainly the trend atm is for scientists to be atheists but that's not because science is incompatible with God as I think history has demonstrated.

Christs message was one of compassion for the oppressed and for human equality, community and brotherhood. It isn't a message compatible with the slave trade. This is why we don't still have an official slave trade today.
